Solve to dismiss
A math alarm clock that asks you to think.
A math alarm asks you to solve a short problem before completing the mission. Coop includes Math in its basic alarm experience, so you can try a more deliberate dismissal without creating a Coop account.
Math and Memory Grid are basic missions. Coop Pro adds the full mission catalog and chains of up to five tasks. Check the app for the current alarm limit and plan details.
When a math alarm is a useful first step
Math gives your hands and attention a task beyond a familiar dismiss gesture. It can suit travel, shared rooms, or mornings when there is no permanent place for a barcode target. You do not need camera permission for the calculation.
The right difficulty is personal. Begin with an easy setting and test it while awake. Increase it only if the task has become automatic. Solving a harder problem does not prove that you have left bed.
Math versus memory, barcode and photo
Memory Grid asks you to remember a short pattern instead of calculate. Both can be completed on the phone and can be useful when moving to another room is impractical.
Barcode and photo missions add a destination or a visible result. If your problem is falling back asleep after the answer, choose a task that gets your feet on the floor. Pro chains let you combine different kinds of task instead of making every calculation harder.
The demo is practice; the app is the alarm
The interactive mission on this page runs in your browser. It shows the task and gives you a way to try it before installing Coop. It does not schedule a wake-up alarm or keep ringing after you close the page.
Install the mobile app, allow its alarm permissions, and test your actual phone settings. On Android, follow the battery and exact-alarm guidance; on iOS 26 and later, allow AlarmKit access.
Try a math alarm mission in your browser
Practice the task here. The browser demo is not a scheduled alarm; the wake-up alarm runs in the mobile app.
Questions before your first alarm
Is Coop’s math alarm free?
Math and Memory Grid are included in the basic alarm experience. The full mission catalog, mission chains and advanced snooze controls are Pro features. Check the app for current limits and plans.
Can I try the math alarm without downloading?
You can practice the math mission in the browser demo on this page. A scheduled wake-up alarm requires the Coop mobile app.
Does a math mission need internet or a camera?
The calculation is generated and checked on the phone. It does not need a photo upload or an online vision check.
What if I solve the problem and go back to sleep?
Try a physical checkpoint such as a barcode away from bed. You can also combine tasks in a Pro chain. A calculation alone is not evidence that you are out of bed.
